Cannes Film Market to host Iranian series ‘The Frog’

Iranian series ‘The Frog’ is slated to be presented at the Cannes Film Market 2021.

American company Exchange is the international distributor of the star-studded series directed by Houman Seyyedi.

A tag line for the series reads, “The world is a small place for me. Sometimes, I feel I’m choking. I feel everywhere is confined and I can’t breathe.”

Young and prominent Iranian actor Navid Mohammadzadeh has been cast to play in the flick. This counts as Seyyedi and mohammadzadeh’s fourth collaboration after ‘Thirteen’, ‘Sound and Fury’ and the award-winning hit ‘The Sheeple’.

Saber Abar and Sahar Dolatshahi also among the cast are two distinguished Iranian actors both nationally and internationally.

The Marché du Film is an annual event for the professionals in the film industry to connect.

Filmmakers, buyers, distributors and others come see the event as an opportunity to introduce their works and connect to each other.

The 74th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival is scheduled for July 6-17, 2021.
